My new shoes

 

Ah, the weekend at last

Friday night and both toby and mia are very happy! i'm happy too, this week has flown by. hard to believe i only have 5 more days on my own with mia. she is sporting her yellow troosers and on the right are her noo shoos!! mia's first pair of shoes are far too big for her but they do look very cute. to celebrate the start of the weekend we went to galbraith's ale house for a swift drink. mia knackered tho so we didn't stay long and she was in bed just after 6.30. unfortunately, that meant she woke at 6am today..... toby took her down the beach whilst i grabbed more sleep. mia now napping again and toby has gone to muriwai for a surf so it has all worked out well. shaping up to be another glorious day, perhaps we'll get into the garden and do some much needed weeding and clearing. love to all. 

Clever Clogs

Yes, whilst i sat and drank a moccachinno at muriwai cafe last night and watched the world go by, mia decided to do some serious reading. the "new scientist" is her latest choice of reading matter and she seems to be enjoying the article on climate change. toby enjoyed a short but sweet surfing session. got home rather late so mia was overtired and instead of her evening feed had an evening scream. still the late night did mean she slept well once she got off to sleep!

this was taken a week or more ago during a cold spell when i was actually able to dress mia in tights! they are far too big for her and looks very funny. dress also makes her look like she has no neck. anyway, as you can see, she is getting bigger and chubbier. she slept thru from 10.30 to 5am last night for first time in ages so i am pretty happy.

i have been naughty and haven't been taking many photos recently but will try and make amends over the weekend. the ones that follow are all from emma. can't believe it is thursday already, she left on sunday night and we are all really missing her, especially me as it was wonderful having some adult company. still, not long left now til everything changes. fletchers arrive on 10 april then toby finishes term 1 on 13 april and has 2 weeks hols. i expect to be working in approx one month's time - if i can find a job. mia enjoying her morning nap whilst i do chores. we are off to a coffee group this morning but nothing planned for this afternoon. we are back to beautiful weather again after lots of rain earlier in the week. yesterday it was 27 degrees, not bad considering it is the equivalent of end sept in uk. no other news so i'll sign off.
