weekly update

sunday afternoon, absolutely piddling down outside. bummer as it was stunning yesterday. latest pix showing quite a grown up little girl. toby trying to force her to say her first word! she has been ok this week, bit off colour a few days ago but back to normal now. we have had a lovely weekend, made all the better for seeing a familiar face in the form of lee. he is out on business and had a 24 hour stoppover in auckland, mainly to see friend carolyn who also lives on the shore. poor sod had a 6 hour delay in sydney yesterday - meaning he lost the afternoon in auckland. anyway, we met up with them last night in takapuna. mia had a long sleep before we went out and we topped up her energy levels with fries. what bad parents. still, kept her going and we were able to stay out til 8.30pm! wow. sat outside belgian bar in takapuna, lovely warm evening. today toby, carolyn and lee headed north for a (messy) surfing session at forestry. i stayed home and entertained little one. tables turned now and toby looking after her. we made some money selling all our gear on trade me. a couple of things failed to sell so we will re-list them. if the rain clears, we'll try and get an evening walk in. toby has had his first wedding photo enquiry so that's great news, even if it comes to nothing it shows the ad/website is working. i'd give you all the address but everytime somebody clicks on it we have to pay google! mia still bum-shuffling at great speeds and still very clingy to her dad. she is pulling herself up on things a lot more. time to go get showered. lots of love. xxx

i still can't believe it. mia had a favourite toy in whitley bay which we were going to sneak back here - until she broke it! Lo and behold, what did toby find yesterday in the $2 shop (yes, as tacky as "everything for a pound). mia ecstatic.
