lovely jubbly
Well what a lovely weekend we have had. Last 2 weekends have been plagued by sleeplessness and illness so nice to have lots of sleep and a happy baby. Makes for happy parents! Been a tough week at work though, met my deadline though but more deadlines follow in next 2 weeks plus my performance appraisal. Won’t be a proper one as I have only been there 3 months. Toby only has one more hard week then things ease off with kids disappearing on study leave. Got my stitches out on Friday and now my wounds are strapped to minimise scarring. Fortunately the mole was benign. I had been so stressed out with work and sleeplessness that I had completely forgotten the whole reason for getting the mole removed. Weather has been a bit better, a few cold but sunny days then today was lovely and mild at 17 degrees. Spent yesterday catching up on chores – housework, paperwork and toby finished off some shelving for the living room. We will be putting all electrical stuff on them, out of baby’s reach. Went to orewa for a walk then to ponsonby for a drink and takeaway curry. Had a spectacular glass of Barossa shiraz – typically I can’t remember the name of it. Today we popped out for a drink with toby’s colleagues to Speights Ale House in Albany. They were all off to watch north harbour vs Wellington (rugby) at local stadium. As toby said, we’d rather stick pins in our eyes than watch rugby….. well, not quite. Mia seems to be making up for lost food intake when she was poorly. Yesterday she quaffed half a kilo of solids, plus 3 bottles of milk. She feels much heavier today! She is tucked up in bed with winnie the pooh and pink pig. Just enjoyed a roast chicken dinner and now relaxing before an early night. No plans for the week ahead, just work….. lots of love and see you soon. xxx
