Sunday best

the three of us taken in beer garden today. we had lunch then wandered around devonport, browsing in the art galleries and shops with nick and sarah. my new job is going well but i have found the first couple of days very tiring. i guess i haven't done proper PA work since leaving the uk in november 2004. job seems promising - better than i thought it would be - and my boss is ok. not looking forward to the week ahead. got 3 sessions of training this week and lots more to follow. it is lovely to be able to walk along the beach in my lunchhour or go and spend my hard earned cash in takapuna. first pay packet will probably be spent on a new buggy for mia - our current one was bought secondhand, is rather cumbersome and rattles. i have a feeling it will fall apart one day soon! no plans for the week ahead, just work, eat and sleep. that's all for now, lots of love.

Mia and her bumbo!

What an amazing thing a bumbo is - thanks to steve, kate and sasha who told us about them. you can't buy them in baby shops here, we had to buy it on trademe (equivalent to ebay) . we take it everywhere now - breakfast yesterday, lunch today. went to "the patriot", a pub in ponsonby for lunch with nick and sarah. sat outside in beer garden - lovely and warm when the sun shone. mia sat on the table with us and was no bother at all. she is being no bother full stop at the moment - sleeping through from 7 til 7 most nights although i wake her most nights just before i go to bed and feed her.
