back in the toon

how nice to be back in newcastle, even though i was rushing about like a loony looking for wedding clobber. our first trip was a real eye-opener. got quite freaked out by the sheer number of people! and as for the number of people smoking.... and what can i say about the smoking in cafes, ugh! time it was banned once and for all. and don't get me started on the coffee. we really are coffee snobs, we ended up driving into newcastle nearly every morning just to go to costas for our daily caffeine fix. there and starbucks were the only places that produce anything resembling coffee as we now know it!
