10 month mia

  
last blast before take-off and you'll soon be meeting 10 month mia in the flesh at long last. after a hectic morning spent shuffling round the living room at high speed, she is having a well-deserved nap. gives us two time to catch up with washing and chores. even started packing... oh my god! both feeling very weird, excited but nervous too. got lots to get done over the next few days and, of course, we will be both at work until just a few hours before we fly. just praying mia stays well this week and doesn't catch any bugs. if i had enough sick leave i'd be tempted to throw a sickie for a few days just so i could keep her away from daycare and all the bugs. just been washing all the clothes i intend to bring and thinking about how on earth we are going to pack everything. latest info on nz air website tells us we are allowed one bag each as hand luggage, but only the size of a laptop bag! mia is also allowed one. so i guess that means a book each for toby and i and the rest of the space will be taken up with nappies, spare clothes, food and toys for bubbs. careful planning needed! bringing home our super-buggy and also hoping to fit in the backpack as we intend to have some good northumberland beach walks. i have started my 10000 steps programme so will be pacing up and down the plane. cats go to cattery on thursday, poor sods. one of toby's pals is driving us to the airport so we don't have to pay for parking. well that's all folks, i can hear bubbs waking, babbling away to herself. this time next week we will be in belford, reunited with toby's family and my folks. sunday will be another family day, seeing my brothers and their families for the first time in nearly two years. wow. love you lots and dreaming of big hugs! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
