yes mum, whatever you say

i love this shot! mia looks like she is actually paying attention to what her mum says. the changes in mia this week have been phenomenal to us. she can now stand, is happy crawling over cushions and can get onto her seat herself. each day there is something new. she adores clambering and climbing over the sofa. i hated going to work today. it felt wrong. something (or someone!) was missing. she has been a bit hit and miss over the weekend sleep and healthwise. just a cold i think and more teeth on the way. she has 6 now and they seem to be coming thick and fast. just trying to remember what we have done this weekend. i had a few glasses of wine with 2 pals on friday night after work. typically my social life is now picking up! sat am i went for a jog - yes, you heard me right - a jog. gotta lose weight, gotta lose weight. i enjoyed it, even tho it was piddling down. we sussed out wedding venues too on saturday - not for us of course - but for our trial wedding photography business. glad we did, the place where my colleague is holding her reception was very hard to find. we are photographing it free of charge in exchange for some decent shots for website. on saturday afternoon we headed off to glenfield mall so i could browse round shops and do some food shopping whilst toby went to gym for 40 mins. we were going to take mia swimming but i didn' think it wise as she had green snot emerging from her nose! when we got back, next door's alarm was going off. it had been going off all afternoon. the house is up for sale and the owners are away so we rang estate agent and failed to understand anything she said as her english was appalling. a while later she turned up at house but couldn't switch off. ended up with toby having to climb out onto roof to dismantle whole system. they had called out an elderley korean engineer but he was too old and frail to go onto roof!! thank goodness mia and i knew nothing about it until toby was safely down. our neighbours were eternally grateful and have promised us some korean food. sunday we went into auckland for a stroll then to local market to buy mia's winnie the pooh tent - cheap and cheerful and a big hit. we headed up to puhoi later on for a drink and the photos tell the tale. monday brought work for us both again, toby only has 2 more weeks to go, lucky git. i went for a jog along the beach with a colleague after work and feel much better for it. let's hope i can keep this up but it is very difficult when all i want to do after work is come home and see mia. Posted by Picasa
