what a wonderful wedding!

saturday 30 september, 2.30pm, st gabriel's, heaton. well, the sun shone and the day was glorious. what a stunning location, the church was beautiful and so was the bride. only downside from our point of view was managing a restless and very tired baby. we delayed our arrival at the reception at jesmond dene hotel and took mia for a drive down to the coast so she got a wee catnap. seemed to do trick! on arrival at reception we were greeted with a much needed pimms and canapes. dinner was superb and so it should be as i think the restaurant has gained a michelin star! i shudder to think how much it all cost. the speeches were fantastic, all of them and we all chortled. little touches made it all very special - the table names (ours was kyloe and the wedding party's was ros castle - where phil proposed), the maps and walks and the chocolates. the room looked beautiful and you couldn't have asked for a better setting. mia eventually got too distressed and tired around 7pm so toby took her back to whitley bay, taking poor joyce with him and she hadn't been feeling right all day. once home, he spent the rest of the evening sorting out all the photos he had taken. i retreated around 9.30 thanks to a lift from marion, too tired to continue partying. it had been a rough week with jetlag and illness and sleep deprivation had reached an all time high. anyway, the party continued til midnight and a good time was had by all. Posted by Picasa
